Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased)

This remote role involves managing external data streams for clinical trials, including setup, ingestion, and quality monitoring across diverse sources such as labs, imaging, wearables, and electronic health records. The specialist develops data transfer agreements, translates scientific requirements into technical specifications, and coordinates with external data providers to ensure compliance and accuracy. The position requires a bachelor's degree, minimum three years of clinical research data experience, and familiarity with SDTM standards and GCP guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Execute setup and ingestion of external data streams aligned with clinical trial protocol requirements
- Assess data collection requirements and plan external data stream activities to meet study timelines
- Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting data transfer and ingestion methods
- Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for clinical programmers
- Monitor external data availability and accuracy, resolving transfer issues with data providers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years managing data in clinical research support
- Experience with external data sources such as labs, ECG, biomarkers
- Experience developing data transfer agreements
- Knowledge of SDTM standards
- Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
