Introduction
Reporting to the Head of Region: West Coast, the successful candidate will be responsible for Dealer & Broker sales in Western Cape. The incumbent will be expected to provide strategic input and direction to the business on sustainable market share dominance over time.
Job Description
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Dealer & Broker Consultants in the Western Cape area.
- Responsible for implementing the sales strategy as defined for the business.
- Oversee the management of relationships with Dealerships , brokers and underwriters.
- Responsible for achieving monthly and yearly sales targets.
- Responsible for the management and control of the regional operational budget.
- Responsible for marketing and promotion activities within the two channels.
- Maintain and grow key relationships with various partners in the Western Cape region.
- Maintain and grow the relationship with the Insurance Institute of Western Cape.
- Work closely with the Regional Customer Service Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- A tertiary qualification, preferably in Sales and Marketing is essential and at least 5 years Sales management experience, preferably in the insurance and dealer environment.
- A business qualification such as an MBA, MDP or similar management development programme would be advantageous.
- Minimum five years experience in the management of diverse sales teams.
- Verifiable experience in achieving business growth in terms of sales and long term profitability.
- Experience in the Insurance environment will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strategic, intellectual and analytical abilities.
- Consultative style with influencing ability.
- High degree of emotional intelligence with strong leadership skills.
