Join our dynamic finance department in Stellenbosch as a Junior Accountant. We offer a professional environment where you can apply your expertise to maintain high standards of financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of all financial data.
- Perform comprehensive accounting functions, including the preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that all payments and collections are processed efficiently and on time.
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns in strict compliance with South African tax legislation.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and South African tax laws.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar accounting or financial management role.
- A B.Com degree in Accounting or a related financial field from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Pastel, Xero, or SAP, and advanced MS Excel skills.
Qualifications
