Assistant Store Manager

  • Assist in opening and closing the store
  • Ensure merchandise is properly stocked and displayed
  • Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control (stock counts, shrink prevention)
  • Help implement store policies and procedures
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization
  • Supervise and support staff during shifts
  • Help onboard, train, and mentor new employees
  • Delegate tasks and ensure efficient team workflow
  • Motivate staff to meet sales targets and deliver great customer service
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally
  • Provide support during peak hours (returns, checkout, inquiries)
  • Ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer
  • Lead by example in delivering top-notch service
  • Assist with meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Track daily/weekly sales performance
  • Report to the Store Manager on key metrics and store performance
  • Help with promotions, upselling, and product launches
  • Assist in cash register operations and daily cash reconciliation
  • Monitor for theft or policy violations
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed (e.g., alarm systems, emergency protocols)
  • Help create and manage staff schedules
  • Cover shifts as needed
  • Support administrative tasks like email correspondence and documentation
