Position: Seasonal Assistant Manager Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract Start Date: 1 October 2026 Salary: R8 000 - R12 000 depending on accommodation and transport requirements Accommodation: Live-in accommodation may be available About the Role Waterfall Valley is looking for a friendly, energetic and hands-on Seasonal Assistant Manager to join our team for the busy summer season. You will work alongside and assist the current Manager with the day-to-day running of the property, guest experience and general operations. This is a hands-on role in a small team where everyone is expected to multitask and assist wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Assist the Manager with the daily operation of the property. Welcome guests and assist with check-ins, check-outs and guest requests. Help maintain high standards of guest service and presentation. Assist with functions. Assist with coordinating daily tasks and supporting the team during busy periods. Report maintenance, stock and operational issues to the Manager. Assist with opening, closing and general property checks. Be willing to assist with practical tasks wherever required. Working Hours The position will generally consist of 4 morning shifts and 2 evening shifts per week ; but this may change according to business requirements, bookings and events. The successful candidate must be willing to work weekends; public holidays and evenings . Requirements Previous hospitality or guesthouse experience in a managerial role. Friendly, professional and comfortable working with guests. Reliable, responsible and able to work independently. Hands-on, flexible and willing to multitask. Good communication skills. Own transport is advantageous.
