- Previous experience as a Bakery Supervisor, Assistant Bakery Manager, or similar senior bakery role is essential.
- Strong knowledge of bakery operations and production processes.
- Experience supervising and managing bakery staff.
- Knowledge of baking, confectionery, bread, pastries, and other bakery products.
- Experience with stock control, ordering, wastage, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Ability to manage production schedules and meet daily targets.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and hands-on approach.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the bakery.
- Manage and allocate duties to bakery staff.
- Oversee production of bread, confectionery, cakes, pastries, and other bakery products.
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met.
- Monitor product quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Assist with planning daily production requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering of ingredients and supplies.
- Control wastage and ensure effective use of stock.
- Ensure the bakery maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
- Train, guide, and motivate bakery staff.
- Monitor staff performance and address operational issues where required.
- Ensure bakery equipment is used correctly and maintained.
- Assist with administrative duties and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the Bakery Manager with the overall management of the bakery.
