Senior Professional Structural Engineer/Engineering Technologist

Our client is looking for a seasoned structural engineering professional to take a leading role in the delivery of multidisciplinary building and infrastructure projects. If you have extensive post-registration experience, strong project management capabilities and a passion for developing technical talent, this opportunity offers a platform to make a meaningful contribution to the Structural Department.
The Role
You will provide technical direction, oversee project delivery and support the development of the department's engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering projects from planning and design through to contract administration and final completion.
- Develop engineering calculations, specifications, tender documents and technical reports.
- Coordinate project teams comprising engineers, designers and draughtspersons.
- Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance of engineering deliverables.
- Undertake structural condition assessments and produce assessment reports.
- Manage structural contracts, site activities and technical meetings.
- Plan departmental resources and monitor project progress, budgets and deadlines.
- Coach and mentor candidate engineers and technologists.
- Assist with business development and the growth of the Structural Department.
What You Need
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
- A minimum of 10 years' verifiable experience following professional registration.
- Sound knowledge of structural engineering design codes and technical standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and manage project delivery effectively.
- Working proficiency in Master Series or Prokon, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- A valid driver's licence and your own vehicle.
