Logistics & Customs Clearing Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organized individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing import and export clearance processes, ensuring compliance with SARS customs regulations and supporting efficient cargo movement across borders.Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate and manage customs clearance processes for imports and exports in line with SARS requirements. Prepare and submit accurate documentation, including SAD500 forms, permits, and tariff classifications. Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and government agencies to ensure timely cargo release. Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays or compliance issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of South African customs regulations, HS codes, and trade compliance requirements. Ensure proper record-keeping and filing of customs documentation for audits and compliance.Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum 23 years of experience in customs clearing or freight forwarding within South Africa. Strong knowledge of SARS customs procedures, HS codes, and import/export procedures and documentation. Familiarity with electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and customs clearance software. Experience with cross-border transport costing, route planning, and logistics coordination. Ability to work under pressure. Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems.
