About the RoleOur client, a well-established provider in the Leisure & Sports sector, is seeking a diligent and organized Leisure Centre Operations Coordinator to manage the daily operations of their facility in Vereeniging, Gauteng .
This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of all centre activities, from member services and facility maintenance to staff coordination and event support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and safety across the centre.

You will be instrumental in maintaining the positive reputation of the centre.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily operational activities to ensure a seamless experience for members and visitors.Manage front desk operations, including inquiries, bookings, and membership administration.Supervise and support centre staff, assisting with scheduling and task allocation.Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of all leisure facilities and equipment.Assist in the planning and execution of leisure programs, events, and activities.Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.Maintain accurate records of attendance, usage, and operational expenses.Liaise with external vendors and service providers for maintenance and supplies.Implement and enforce centre policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.Contribute to strategies aimed at improving member satisfaction and centre utilization.RequirementsA minimum of 2 years of experience in operations coordination or a similar role, preferably within the leisure, hospitality, or sports industry.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.Proficiency in using leisure management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities.A proactive approach to problem-solving and operational improvement.Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to leisure facilities.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, in Vereeniging, Gauteng .
