Resident Engineer

Our client is looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee the successful construction of a major water infrastructure project in KwaZulu-Natal. This role is suited to a senior engineering professional with extensive experience in construction supervision, contract administration and the delivery of large-scale multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site engineering and construction supervision activities.
- Represent the Engineer throughout project execution.
- Manage contract administration in accordance with GCC 2010 and GCC 2015.
- Review construction progress, quality standards and health and safety compliance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve engineering challenges during construction.
- Prepare project reports and monitor programme performance.
- Ensure successful delivery of complex bulk water infrastructure projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12.
- BSc Eng, BEng or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with ECSA and SACPCMP (or similar) with a minimum of 15 years' Resident Engineer experience.
- Alternatively, 30 years' relevant Resident Engineer experience.
- Proven delivery of at least three multidisciplinary engineering projects valued above R500 million.
- Extensive experience in Water Treatment Works, dams and hydraulic infrastructure.
- Strong contract administration and construction management expertise.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
