About the RoleOur client is seeking a responsible and energetic Aftercare Facilitator to supervise and engage primary school-aged children after school hours in Randburg , Gauteng .
This part-time role involves providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where children can complete homework, participate in recreational activities, and socialize.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in child development, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a group of children effectively.
You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of each child, facilitating homework assistance, and organizing fun and constructive activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise children aged between 6 and 12 years old during after-school hours.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.
Assist children with their homework, providing guidance and support as needed.
Organize and lead recreational activities, games, and crafts.
Foster a positive and inclusive social environment for the children.
Manage group dynamics and address behavioral issues constructively.
Prepare and serve snacks and beverages to the children.
Maintain a clean and orderly aftercare space.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day and any concerns.
Adhere to all safety, health, and operational policies and procedures.
RequirementsPrevious experience working with school-aged children is essential.
A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize and lead activities for groups of children.
Patience, responsibility, and reliability.
First Aid or CPR certification is a strong advantage.
Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Basic understanding of homework assistance techniques.
