The purpose of this Multimedia Designer role is to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and select and specify furniture.
You will be based at the Johannesburg operation in Gauteng. The business promotes from within wherever possible, opening doors over time. Responsibilities
- Design wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for websites and applications, applying user experience principles throughout.
- Edit and retouch photographs and digital images to enhance visual quality and meet required specifications for the output medium.
- Stay updated with current design trends, software developments, and industry best practices to continuously improve creative output.
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials for interior projects, sourcing from suppliers and managing procurement budgets.
- Conceptualise and create compelling visual designs for print advertisements, digital banners, social media content, and brand identities.
Requirements
- For CAD roles, demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software with a portfolio of technical drawings.
- For interior design roles, knowledge of building regulations, space planning standards, and experience specifying materials and finishes.
- A minimum of one to three years of professional design experience supported by a strong portfolio showing creativity and technical competence.
- Strong understanding of design principles including colour theory, typography, layout, and composition and ability to apply them effectively.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet multiple deadlines across various projects.
- A diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communication, interior design, multimedia, or a related creative field.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing polished, pixel-perfect work that exceeds client expectations.
