About the Role
We are looking for a Team Leader Maintenance to oversee and coordinate a maintenance team, ensuring that work is completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
The successful candidate should have practical experience with electrical and solar installations, as well as experience leading or supervising a team. A formal electrician qualification is not required, but a good practical understanding of electrical and solar work is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, supervise and coordinate the maintenance team.
Plan and allocate daily maintenance tasks to team members.
Assist with and oversee electrical and solar installation and maintenance work.
Ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently and within required timeframes.
Conduct regular checks on completed work and maintain quality standards.
Identify maintenance issues and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Ensure all tools, equipment and materials are available and properly maintained.
Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support where required.
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture within the team.
Complete relevant maintenance records, checklists and reports.
Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance requirements, progress and issues.
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience in a maintenance, electrical or solar environment.
Practical knowledge of electrical and solar installations.
Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong understanding and awareness of workplace health and safety.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Valid driver's licence would be advantageous.
Must be locally based in Howick, Hilton or Pietermaritzburg.
