About the RoleOur client, a reputable architectural and urban planning consultancy based in Welkom, Free State, is seeking a seasoned Architectural Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of diverse construction projects.
This role is critical for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will be responsible for managing all phases of a project lifecycle, from initial client consultation and design development through to construction administration and project closeout.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and architectural principles.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of significant infrastructure and building projects in the region, working with a dedicated team of professionals in a stimulating and rewarding work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all aspects of architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery.Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.Manage procurement processes and contract administration.Prepare regular project reports for senior management and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, codes, and standards.Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Construction Management.Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methodologies, and building codes.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
