Pharmacy Sales Representative - JHB East Rand

The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s products across diverse pharmacy environments, including independent pharmacies, pharmacy groups, and corporate groups. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by expanding market presence and fostering brand loyalty within the pharmacy sector. Success in this position requires a combination of strong sales expertise, industry insight, and exceptional relationship-building abilities. Develop and execute a sales plan, targeting independent pharmacies, pharmacy groups, and corporate pharmacies.
Conduct regular visits to these pharmacies to present and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products.
Work towards meeting and exceeding set sales targets and goals.
Manage product orders and inventory levels within the pharmacies to ensure continuous supply. Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships with pharmacists and key decision-makers.
Regularly update pharmacies on product information, changes, and developments.
Handle customer queries and resolve issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships with pharmacists and key decision-makers.

Prepare reports and analysis of sales activities, market trends, and competitive landscape for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations for pharmacy staff to enhance their understanding and advocacy of the products.
Provide accurate product information and resources to pharmacy personnel, aiding them in making informed decisions regarding product stocking and customer recommendations.
Demonstrate sound financial responsibility when conducting training activities, including the appropriate use of the company credit card for training-related expenses, adherence to budget guidelines, and timely submission of supporting documentation Participate in strategic planning and sales meetings to discuss targets, potential markets, and tactics.
Collaborate with marketing and prescription teams to develop strategies for product launches, promotions, and increased market penetration. Apply sound judgement in the responsible use of company financial resources, including strict adherence to company credit card policies and approved budget limits.
Manage training-related and field-based expenditure with accuracy, ensuring all costs are valid, necessary, and aligned to business guidelines
Demonstrate commercial awareness when planning training activities, optimizing spending to maximize impact while upholding compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Understand the financial implications of decisions made in the field, contributing to responsible cost management and overall business sustainability. Clearly communicate the safety profile and risk information of products to Healthcare Professionals, ensuring accurate and compliant messaging in line with regulatory requirements
Identify, document, and promptly report any adverse drug reactions (ADRs), product complaints, or safety-related information to the Pharmacovigilance (PV) or Quality Assurance (QA) department in accordance with company procedures and timelines.
Collaborate with the PV team to support any follow-up requests related to safety information or ADR reports from Healthcare Professionals.
Accurately log medical queries, product-related safety concerns, and customer feedback to the appropriate internal teams for timely follow-up and resolution.
Participate in pharmacovigilance training sessions to stay updated on current safety reporting procedures and regulatory obligations. Minimum requirements:

- A Degree or Diploma or similar in business management, marketing, pharmacy, medical sciences or any related fields.
- Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical sales; experience across various pharmacy settings is preferred but not required, as training will be provided for individuals without prior experience.
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations
