A leading organisation is seeking an experienced and motivated Internal Sales Supervisor to join their Johannesburg team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Internal Sales Manager, supervising the day-to-day activities of the internal sales and customer-facing support functions while ensuring service levels, processes and performance standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Internal Sales team.
• Support the Internal Sales Manager with team performance, KPIs, staff management and development.
• Oversee order processing, quotations and customer queries, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.
• Monitor customer service levels and ensure a consistently high standard of service.
• Manage and monitor case management queues, ensuring queries and concerns are resolved timeously.
• Coordinate effectively between Internal and External Sales teams.
• Monitor turnaround times, service levels and operational performance.
• Ensure internal processes, policies and SOPs are consistently followed.
• Identify operational issues, risks and performance gaps and escalate where required.
• Oversee export coordination activities and ensure relevant compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor order accuracy and implement measures to reduce operational errors.
• Assist with system improvements and ensure effective system usage across the team.
• Oversee demo bookings and scheduling.
• Ensure showroom stock is accurate, presentable and ready for customer engagement.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement appropriate improvements.
• Ensure customers are kept informed regarding delays, issues or service concerns.
• Assist with resolving customer issues and escalating critical matters appropriately.
• Prepare operational reports and provide regular feedback to the Internal Sales Manager.
• Support a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Experience

• 3–5 years' experience in Customer Service, Internal Sales, Operations or a similar environment.
• Minimum 3 years' previous supervisory/team leadership experience – essential.
• Strong people management and organisational skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proven ability to understand, implement and improve processes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working under pressure while remaining calm and professional.
• High level of personal accountability, ownership and integrity.
• Export coordination experience will be advantageous.
• Strong computer and systems proficiency.
