Guests at a city business hotel in Roodepoort will never meet you, but they will judge the stay by your work. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.
Home base is a city business hotel on the Roodepoort side of Gauteng.
The work, day to day
- Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
- Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
- Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
- Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
- Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
You'll need
- Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
- Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
- Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
- Well groomed
- Grade 10 or matric
- Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
Helpful, not essential
- Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests
- Experience with industrial laundry machines
