About This Opportunity
Work-Force is seeking a Print Shop Assistant to help with the daily operations of a busy print shop in Durban. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn about printing and graphic design services.
Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for:
• Printing Orders : Operating printing machines to produce customer orders, including flyers, posters, and business cards.
• Customer Service : Assisting customers with print orders and answering questions about services.
• Graphic Setup : Preparing digital files for print and making minor adjustments to design files as needed.
• Inventory Management : Keeping track of paper and ink supplies and reordering when necessary.
• Shop Maintenance : Keeping the print shop clean and organized, including maintaining equipment.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
• Basic Computer Skills : Familiarity with graphic design software and digital file formats.
• Attention to Detail : Ensuring prints come out accurately and on time.
• Customer Service Skills : Friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Technical Aptitude : Willingness to learn how to operate print shop machines and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience : No prior experience required, but knowledge of printing or graphic design is a plus.
