Revit Draughtsman Piping

Are you an experienced Revit Piping Draughtsman with a passion for delivering high-quality 3D piping models and detailed engineering drawings? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering company specialising in water infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams on technically challenging projects from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate 3D piping models using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce detailed piping layouts, isometrics, general arrangement (GA) drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Interpret and model information from P&IDs , engineering specifications, and process flow diagrams.
- Coordinate piping models with mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve model clashes.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable industry codes.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawing schedules.
- Revise and update drawings throughout project lifecycles while maintaining document control.
- Provide technical drafting support during fabrication, construction, and commissioning phases.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Draughting Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3–5+ years' experience as a piping draughtsman in industrial or process engineering environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP .
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of:
- Industrial piping systems
- P&IDs
- Pipe supports
- Equipment layouts
- Fabrication drawings
- Industry standards and specifications
- Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
