SAICA Article Clerk

As a SAICA Article Clerk, you will be immersed in various aspects of accounting, audit, and tax work. You’ll gain hands-on experience and develop a deep understanding of the profession, all while working towards becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)). Our client is committed to providing you with the necessary tools, guidance, and exposure to help you excel in your SAICA articles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Assistance: Participate in external audits, assisting with planning, fieldwork, and reporting. You will work on-site with clients, gaining firsthand experience in audit procedures.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS. This includes compiling supporting documentation, performing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
• Tax Compliance: Contribute to the preparation and submission of tax returns for clients. You'll develop an understanding of various tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance for individuals and businesses.
• Client Interaction: Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing support under the guidance of senior team members.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and tax legislation, applying this knowledge to your work. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Registered for Accounting Qualification OR
• A completed or nearly completed BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent).
• Working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA))
• Driver's License (Non-Negotiable)
• Own Vehicle (Highly advantageous)
• Willingness to travel nationally for lengthy periods at a time.

Salary : R10 000 - R14 000
