Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical

IT Support Specialist (ERP / Sage Focus) to provide first- and second-line technical support while acting as the primary internal support resource for their Sage ERP (Sage 50) environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting end users, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide first- and second-line IT support to users via phone, email, and helpdesk ticketing systems.

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, operating systems, printers, and peripheral devices.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.

- Provide end-user training and support on IT systems and software applications.

- Act as the primary internal support resource for the Sage ERP (Sage 50) system.

- Troubleshoot Sage ERP system errors, connectivity issues, user permissions, and reporting problems.

- Assist with resolving data synchronisation issues, module conflicts, and printing/reporting errors.

- Liaise with external Sage consultants for system enhancements, upgrades, and complex technical issues.

- Assist with month-end and year-end ERP processing, system backups, and verification procedures.

- Maintain IT documentation, system configurations, and support procedures.

- Ensure minimal system downtime while delivering excellent customer service to internal users.

Minimum Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Minimum 2–4 years' experience in an IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or IT Support role.

- Hands-on experience supporting or administering

Sage ERP (Sage 50) is essential.

- Basic understanding of accounting processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, will be highly advantageous.

- Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.

- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration.

- Experience creating or modifying Crystal Reports or similar Business Intelligence tools will be advantageous.
