You will form part of a supportive but performance-driven finance environment where high standards are expected and strong performers are given the opportunity to develop.The successful candidate will support the accounting function across transactional finance, reconciliations, reporting and payroll, while gaining valuable exposure within a manufacturing environment .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day accounting function
- Prepare and process journals
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting
- Process and maintain accounting information on Pastel Accounting
- Assist with payroll administration and processing on Sage Payroll
- Support creditors, debtors and cashbook functions where required
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with audit preparation and finance-related administration
- Work independently within a fully remote environment
- Meet strict deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Completed BCom degree – essential
- Diplomas will not be considered
- Articles are not required
- Approximately 3 years' relevant accounting experience
- Manufacturing industry experience – essential
- Previous payroll experience – essential
- Pastel Accounting – essential
- Sage Payroll – essential
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively without constant supervision
- Driven, resilient and comfortable operating in a demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and deadline management
- Must be comfortable receiving direct feedback and working to high performance standards
