Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the development and execution of comprehensive hygiene and sanitation strategies for all assigned facilities.
Lead, mentor, and manage teams of facility hygiene staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Conduct regular remote and on-site assessments to ensure compliance with hygiene protocols, health regulations, and quality standards.
Manage budgets for hygiene operations, including procurement of supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Develop and implement training programs for staff on best practices in cleaning, disinfection, and waste management.
Collaborate with facility managers and other stakeholders to integrate hygiene services effectively into overall operations.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, updating policies and procedures as necessary.
Analyze performance data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
Act as a key point of contact for hygiene-related matters, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Ensure the safe storage, handling, and disposal of all cleaning chemicals and waste materials.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Facility Management, Environmental Health, or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in facilities management, with a strong focus on cleaning and sanitation operations.
Proven experience in leading and managing cleaning teams, preferably across multiple sites.
In-depth knowledge of hygiene principles, cleaning techniques, and disinfection protocols.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to facility management in South Africa .
Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities, particularly in a remote context.
Proficiency in facility management software and standard office applications.
Ability to travel occasionally to facilities within the Eastern Cape and other regions as needed.
