Deputy Head: Learner Discipline (High School)

Oversee academic achievement, learner targets, and operational priorities aligned to Curro strategy. Manage school activities including sport, culture, community engagement, and calendar events. Oversee financial operations, budgeting, and supplier contracts. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security requirements. Oversee curriculum planning, timetables, assessments, and reporting in line with CAPS/IEB and Curro standards. Support recruitment, mentoring, and retention of staff; manage staff performance and conduct. Implement learner discipline, pastoral care, and intervention processes. Represent the school on parent, stakeholder, or governance forums when delegated. Undertake teaching, tutoring, or learner engagement duties where required. Qualifications, experience and skills Minimum: Degree in Education Advantageous: Honours Degree in Educational Leadership and Management Legal Requirement: SACE registration Experience: 3 - 5 years managerial experience (School Management Team experience advantageous) Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills Financial and operational management capability Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school systems Ability to work long hours and manage multiple priorities Closing date: 04 September 2026.
