Logistics Coordinator - Hybrid Transport

About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic transportation team in Durban, operating on a hybrid work model.
This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, bridging the gap between operational planning and on-the-ground execution.
You will be responsible for coordinating daily dispatches, managing driver schedules, and liaising with clients and internal departments to maintain seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch activities, ensuring all vehicles are scheduled and routes are optimized.
Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, monitor progress, and resolve issues in real-time.
Manage relationships with clients, providing updates on shipments and addressing any logistical concerns.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and inventory levels within the transportation management system.
Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Assist in the planning and execution of special transport projects and ad-hoc requests.
Requirements Previous experience in a logistics, dispatch, or coordination role within the transport sector.
Familiarity with transportation management software (TMS) and tracking systems is highly desirable.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
