Job Opportunity: Financial Manager (CA)
Location: Northern Suburbs, Johannesburg
Salary: Market Related Negotiable (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial management for five premier restaurant locations.
- Oversee strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Ensure tax compliance and manage audits specific to the hospitality industry.
- Collaborate with finance teams and other departments.
- Develop financial policies and internal controls.
- Present financial information to stakeholders and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Chartered Accountant (CA) designation from a recognized professional body
- 8-10+ years of financial management experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Proven track record in strategic financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial operations, including revenue management and cost control
- Expertise in preparing and analysing financial statements and reports for multiple business units
- Experience with tax compliance, audits, and financial regulations specific to the hospitality sector
- Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Strong leadership skills for managing finance teams and collaborating with other departments
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders and executive management
- Ability to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of industry trends and economic factors affecting the hospitality sector
- Commitment to ethical financial practices and adherence to corporate governance standards
