About the Role Our client is seeking a highly qualified Environmental Health Specialist to join their team and contribute to maintaining public health and safety standards, with a focus on sanitation and hygiene, from a remote capacity.
This role involves policy development, risk assessment, and providing expert guidance on environmental health matters to various stakeholders.
You will play a key role in ensuring that sanitation practices across different sectors meet stringent regulatory requirements and promote community well-being.
The ideal candidate has a strong academic background in environmental health or a related field, combined with analytical prowess and excellent communication skills for remote engagement.
Key Responsibilities Develop, review, and recommend policies and guidelines related to environmental sanitation, waste management, and public health protection.
Conduct remote risk assessments of environmental health hazards and propose mitigation strategies.
Provide expert advice and technical support to local authorities, businesses, and community groups on environmental health matters.
Analyze environmental data and trends to identify public health issues and inform strategic planning.
Develop and deliver educational materials and training programs on environmental health topics.
Stay abreast of current research, legislation, and best practices in environmental health and sanitation science.
Requirements Master's degree or equivalent in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a closely related field.
Significant professional experience in environmental health program management, policy development, or research.
Demonstrated expertise in sanitation, waste management, infectious disease control, and risk assessment.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in data analysis software and virtual collaboration tools.
