Electrical Designer - Aviation Industry

SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a highly focused Electrical Designer to join a leading engineering team based in Cape Town , working at the cutting edge of aviation technology.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop aircraft electrical systems, with a specific focus on harnesses and looms
• Create and interpret aviation-standard schematic diagrams, using correct symbols and formats
• Work in accordance with ATA chapters and relevant aviation compliance standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-integrity design solutions

Minimum Requirements

• Aviation industry experience is essential – applicants from other industries (automotive, mining, petrochemical, etc.) will not be considered
• Solid knowledge of aircraft electrical design standards and schematic conventions
• Proven experience in loom and wiring design specific to aviation
• Ability to work within a highly regulated, detail-focused environment

🎓 Qualification Requirements

• A completed BTech in Electrical Design
  (Note: General Electrical/Electronic Engineering , Light/Heavy Current, or non-design qualifications will not be considered)

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Aviation-specific design exposure – either from OEMs, MROs, or aerospace engineering companies
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver to strict aviation standards
• Passion for aviation and a strong grasp of related documentation and compliance protocols
