Data Analyst (Hybrid)

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce company operating out of **Paarl, Western Cape**, is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their analytics team. You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources (e.g., sales, marketing, web analytics).
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Translate data findings into clear, concise, and actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with different departments (Marketing, Sales, Operations) to understand their data needs.
• Assist in the design and execution of A/B tests and other experiments.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reports.
• Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains through data analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analyses and reports.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a data analysis role.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts and techniques.
• Experience with Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Basic understanding of programming languages like Python or R is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings, adhering to a hybrid schedule in **Paarl**.
