Senior Full Stack Developer - Python & React

About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong background in Python and React.
This role is based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, offering a hybrid work model that allows for both office-based collaboration and remote flexibility.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications, from backend services to frontend interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Python (e.g., Django, Flask).
Design and implement user-friendly and responsive frontend interfaces using React.
Integrate backend and frontend components to create seamless user experiences.
Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
Design and manage database schemas and queries (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Implement and manage APIs for inter-service communication.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the stack.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with at least one Python web framework (Django, Flask).
Expertise in JavaScript and experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, Hooks).
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
