An established name in the Gauteng organisation sector is seeking a Shopping Centre Cleaner for its Randburg branch. This is a chance to put your skills to work in a role that genuinely matters to the business.

Normal working hours apply, with occasional flexibility required during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards such as broken fixtures, leaking taps, or slippery floors to the supervisor promptly.
- Clean kitchen and breakroom areas including countertops, sinks, microwaves, and refrigerators, ensuring communal areas are hygienic.
- Operate industrial cleaning machinery such as floor polishers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers safely per training guidelines.
- Follow a daily cleaning schedule and checklist to ensure all assigned tasks are completed to the required standard within the allocated time.
- Empty waste bins and recycling containers from all designated areas, replace bin liners, and dispose of refuse correctly.
- Sweep, mop, and polish hard floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Clean and sanitise all bathroom facilities including toilets, urinals, basins, and mirrors, and replenish soap and paper supplies.
Requirements
- Good communication skills to report issues to supervisors and interact politely with clients or members of the public.
- A clear criminal record is often required for positions at schools, healthcare facilities, or secure commercial premises.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential, as cleaning schedules must be adhered to and clients depend on consistent service.
- Willingness to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends depending on operational needs.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing time effectively to complete all tasks within the shift.
- A strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and no task is overlooked or left incomplete.
