Clients sleep better when their tax is sorted, and a mid-tier accounting firm in Mamelodi needs you to sort it. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.
Location: Mamelodi, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.
The work, day to day
- Draft objections and appeals with supporting schedules
- Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims
- Respond to SARS verification letters and upload documents on time
- Register clients for income tax, VAT and PAYE
- Calculate IRP6 provisional tax for individuals and companies
You'll need
- Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
- Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
- Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
- Clear writing for SARS letters and objections
Helpful, not essential
- Postgraduate diploma in tax
- Customs and excise knowledge for import-export clients
- Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
