To develop and maintain consistent brand visual identities and conceptualise and create compelling visual designs for print advertisements, an established business in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Graphic Designer.
Integrity, teamwork, and a customer-first mindset are at the core of how the team works. You will be given real responsibility and the trust to run with it. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to submit their applications.
The role is based on-site and suits someone living within commuting distance.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and create compelling visual designs for print advertisements, digital banners, social media content, and brand identities.
- Edit and retouch photographs and digital images to enhance visual quality and meet required specifications for the output medium.
- Use industry-standard design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to produce high-resolution artwork and prepare files for publication.
- Stay updated with current design trends, software developments, and industry best practices to continuously improve creative output.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines without compromising creative quality.
- Design wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for websites and applications, applying user experience principles throughout.
Requirements
- Good communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
- A minimum of one to three years of professional design experience supported by a strong portfolio showing creativity and technical competence.
- For CAD roles, demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software with a portfolio of technical drawings.
- For interior design roles, knowledge of building regulations, space planning standards, and experience specifying materials and finishes.
- A diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communication, interior design, multimedia, or a related creative field.
