Accountant - Head Office

Job Description:

• Oversee the full accounting cycle across multiple business units
• Produce monthly financial reports, commentary, and performance analysis
• Consolidate financial results across various entities and operational locations
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for external audits
• Address accounting queries, reporting variances, and control issues
• Assist with tax calculations, regulatory filings, and statutory reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and streamline finance processes
• Support the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and reporting tools
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior finance team members
• Partner with operational teams to improve reporting accuracy and business performance

 
Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' accounting experience within an automotive environment
• Proven experience preparing management accounts and consolidated financial reports
• Sound knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial governance principles
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to work with large datasets
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
• Experience reviewing work and providing support to less experienced team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines

 
Qualification:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting designation or membership advantageous
• Completed articles beneficial
