Junior Chemical Engineer

About the Role Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Junior Chemical Engineer to support their operations in Paarl, Western Cape.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in a variety of chemical engineering tasks.
You will assist senior engineers in process design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and project execution.
Working within a supportive team environment, you will contribute to the company's success by applying fundamental engineering principles and learning best practices in chemical manufacturing, helping to drive efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities Assist senior engineers in the design and development of chemical processes and equipment.
Collect and analyze process data, preparing reports on performance and findings.
Support troubleshooting efforts for operational issues and plant disturbances.
Participate in process safety reviews and risk assessments.
Help in the preparation of technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Contribute to project execution, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
0-3 years of relevant internship or work experience in chemical engineering.
Solid understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
