Trainee Construction Estimator
As SB Services continues to grow, we are looking for a Trainee Construction Estimator to join our expanding multi-trade construction business.
Job Title: Trainee Construction Estimator
Location: Inverness
Pay Rate: Competitive pay
Contract Length: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within the construction industry. Working alongside our operational teams, you will gain valuable hands-on experience and play an important role in supporting projects across the commercial, industrial, energy and residential sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Supporting quantity take-offs and cost planning activities
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Maintaining tender records and project information
- Working closely with estimating and operational teams throughout the tender process
- Assisting with commercial administration and reporting
Requirements
- An interest in construction and the built environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred
