Senior Designer / Art Director - Cape Town

Luxury Jewellery Brand with Head Office based in Cape Town is looking for a Senior Designer / Art Director. The purpose of the role is to is to build a distinctive and globally relevant luxury brand through exceptional storytelling, design and content while protecting the consistency and integrity of the brand across every customer touchpoint. The creative department operate as an in-house luxury brand and content engine : protecting the brand; creating distinctive work ; and producing enough high-quality content to support digital; CRM, retail, PR and international growth. Regardless of role, every team member will be accountable for five principles: Luxury Standard Distinctiveness Story Before Content Commercial Awareness Craftsmanship Purpose of the role: Translate the brands creative direction into beautifully crafted visual communication across every customer touchpoint. Translate creative direction into daily brand execution Digital; social, CRM, website, retail, print, presentations Owns: Day-to-day design execution Digital design Social design CRM creative Website assets Retail collateral Campaign adaptation Presentation and corporate design Brand consistency Duties: Create premium digital and physical brand assets. Develop layouts and design systems rather than relying on individual executions. Adapt campaigns across multiple formats without diluting the original creative idea. Design social, CRM, web, paid media, retail and print materials. Work closely with photography and video teams. Maintain templates and brand asset libraries. Ensure typography, spacing, imagery and composition consistently reflect a luxury brand. Prepare production-ready artwork where required. Requirements: Tertiary degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or equivalent practical experience. At least 5+ years in design studios or integrated advertising agencies. Luxury brand experience essential Proven track record of high-impact conceptual campaign execution across digital, social, and traditional channels. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and UI/UX or layout tools like Figma. Flawless grasp of typography, visual hierarchy, grid systems, composition, and brand identity design. Understanding of multi-channel production workflows, including digital formats, print specifications, and video/audio editing basics.
