SAP Enterprise Architect - SAP ERP, BTP & Integration

PBT Group is seeking an experienced SAP Enterprise Architect to join a strategic architecture engagement focused on SAP ERP, SAP BTP, Integration Architecture and Application Portfolio Management.
The successful candidate will work across SAP Enterprise Architecture, ERP transformation, integration, data and application architecture, helping to define target-state architectures, transition roadmaps and architecture governance artefacts. The role will involve reviewing complex SAP landscapes, facilitating stakeholder engagement and translating business and technology requirements into practical, future-state architecture recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Review existing SAP ERP landscapes and define SAP S/4HANA target-state architecture and transition options.
Develop SAP ERP reference and logical architecture views across applications, platforms, data and integrations.
Define SAP BTP target-state architecture , including platform strategy, integration, connectivity, security and governance.
Develop target-state SAP Integration Architecture , including integration patterns and architecture principles.
Support migration considerations from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite , including APIs, Event Mesh, SOAP and OData.
Define architecture roadmaps, transition architectures, dependencies, risks and key decision points.
Support SAP LeanIX initiatives relating to Application Portfolio Management, application rationalisation, technology risk and compliance.
Support SAP Signavio process modelling and optimisation activities.
Develop architecture decision records, standards, governance artefacts and executive-level architecture recommendations.
Facilitate workshops with business, architecture, data, integration, cyber security and technology stakeholders.
Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear architecture options and recommendations.
Maintain architecture decision, risk, assumption, issue and dependency logs.
Produce ARC-ready architecture packs and documentation where required.
Support knowledge transfer and ensure architecture artefacts are appropriately documented and maintained.
Requirements
15+ years' SAP experience , with at least 10 years in SAP Architecture / Enterprise Architecture .
Minimum 5 years' experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP or cloud-aligned SAP transformation architecture .
Strong experience designing SAP ERP target-state architectures within complex, multi-instance environments.
Proven experience with SAP transformation programmes involving ECC/S/4HANA, consolidation, global templates, integration, master data and security .
Strong understanding of SAP BTP architecture , including:
SAP Integration Suite
API Management
Event Mesh
Cloud Connector
Identity and security
Connectivity and integration
Platform governance
Strong SAP Integration Architecture experience, including APIs, event-driven integration and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience with SAP Enterprise Data Architecture , including master data strategy, cross-system data models, system-of-record principles and synchronisation patterns.
Strong experience with SAP LeanIX , particularly Application Portfolio Management, application rationalisation and roadmap planning.
Experience with SAP Signavio and process modelling/optimisation.
Ability to operate at an enterprise and executive architecture level , providing decision options, trade-offs, recommendations and strategic roadmaps.
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
Experience working within formal Enterprise Architecture governance and review frameworks .
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture or a related discipline.
TOGAF, ArchiMate, BIZBOK, SAP Enterprise Architect or equivalent architecture certification/training would be advantageous.
