Junior Electrical Engineer - Automation

About the Role Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join their growing automation division in Pretoria.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of electrical control panels and systems for automation projects.
Support the programming, testing, and commissioning of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
Perform wiring, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems on the shop floor.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to integrate electrical and automation solutions.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Contribute to the documentation of system designs, operational procedures, and maintenance guides.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Strong theoretical understanding of electrical principles, control systems, and automation concepts.
Familiarity with PLC programming platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Basic knowledge of industrial networking protocols.
