A commercial law firm in Lephalale has space for a law graduate ready to start practical vocational training. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.
You'll be based at a commercial law firm in Lephalale. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.
What you'll actually do
- Prepare affidavits and notices of motion for your principal to review
- Record your time on the practice management system every day
- Issue and serve documents at the magistrate's court and High Court
- Study for the LPC competency-based examinations alongside the work
- Attend court with counsel and take notes during trials
- Prepare trial bundles and discovery affidavits
Must-haves
- Ready to sign a practical vocational training contract registered with the LPC
- Proficient in Word, Outlook and legal research databases
- Good legal research and clear written English
- Willing to work late before trials and filing deadlines
- Code B driver's licence and a reliable car for court runs

- Moot court or legal clinic experience
