About the RoleOur client seeks a dedicated Corporate Communications Officer to join their team in the coastal town of Mossel Bay, Western Cape .

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and implementing corporate communication plans and strategies.
Draft internal communications, such as newsletters, memos, and intranet content.
Support the creation of external communication materials, including press releases and website content.
Manage social media accounts and ensure consistent brand messaging online.
Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports on relevant news.
Support the organization of company events and conferences.
Assist in crisis communication efforts as directed.
Liaise with various departments to gather information and ensure communication alignment.
Maintain and update communication databases and contact lists.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in a corporate communications, PR, or marketing role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Enthusiasm for learning and developing communication skills.
Understanding of the local business and media environment in the Western Cape .
