Senior Key Account Manager

Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Account Managers and support staff to drive high performance and professional growth.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively while ensuring performance standards and service expectations are consistently achieved.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture centred on continuous improvement and value creation.
- Take full ownership of account performance, including revenue growth, profitability and service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling and upselling.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of agreed contractual obligations, key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery and a consistent client experience.
- Oversee the end-to-end customer journey, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and resolve operational gaps.
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with client objectives and priorities.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager and senior escalation point for key strategic accounts.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives and other key decision-makers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business, objectives, challenges and long-term strategy to provide value-added solutions.
- Drive client satisfaction, retention and long-term account growth through a proactive and consultative approach.
- Prepare and present executive-level reports on account performance, business opportunities and potential risks.
- Utilise data and business insights to support strategic decision-making and strengthen client relationships.
- Proactively identify, escalate and mitigate risks that may impact customer satisfaction or business performance.
- Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, including executive business reviews, performance reporting and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience as a Senior Account Manager or in a similar managerial role.
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
- Previous experience within the courier or logistics industry is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking with excellent commercial acumen.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
