Job Description:
- Perform fitting, machining, and assembly activities on mechanical components and equipment
- Set up and operate conventional lathes, milling machines, and workshop equipment
- Manufacture, modify, and repair precision-engineered components according to technical drawings
- Conduct fault-finding and mechanical problem-solving on production equipment
- Ensure all work is completed to quality, safety, and production standards
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and production environment
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and inspections
- Minimum 7 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner within a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
- Experience setting up and operating conventional milling machines and lathes
- Strong machining, fitting, and precision measurement skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong understanding of hydraulic power units, cylinders, pumps, and associated components
- Experience fault-finding and maintaining pneumatic equipment and control systems
- Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and valves within an industrial or manufacturing environment
