Driven Fire Engineer looking to advance your career within a respected consulting environment?
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Fire Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team. You will play a key role in delivering compliant and effective fire engineering solutions for a variety of commercial and multidisciplinary developments, while working alongside experienced professionals on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce fire engineering designs and fire compliance solutions for building services projects.
- Design and coordinate fire sprinkler systems, firefighting installations, smoke extraction systems, and stair pressurisation systems.
- Manage projects according to experience level while maintaining quality and programme objectives.
- Participate in client consultations, site meetings, and engineering surveys.
- Prepare tender documentation and support project management activities.
- Maintain compliance with SANS standards and industry best practices.
Requirements
- BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Fire Engineering within the building services industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of South African fire safety standards and fire protection system design.
- Thermal modelling experience will be considered an advantage.
- Strong written communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- ECSA registration or eligibility and willingness to obtain professional registration.
