Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in deliveries, warehousing, logistics, or general labour will be advantageous.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move goods.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Good customer-service skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when operationally required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading and offloading goods from the delivery vehicle.
- Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and delivery.
- Check goods against delivery notes, invoices, or picking documents.
- Assist with securing goods safely inside the vehicle.
- Accompany the driver on delivery and collection routes.
- Assist with deliveries to customers, stores, branches, or other designated locations.
- Obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery where required.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect goods to the driver or supervisor.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle.
- Assist with vehicle checks and report any defects or safety concerns.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers.
- Assist with navigating delivery routes and locating delivery addresses.
- Ensure delivery documentation is returned and submitted correctly.
- Perform general duties related to transport, logistics, and warehouse operations as required.
