Lecturer- Intermediate Phase (Northern Sotho)

It provides affordable, internationally accredited tertiary degrees and diplomas to students across Africa Job Purpose: The purpose of the lecturer position involves the training and education of students; student consultations; the establishment of a knowledge base of the discipline through academic research & development and providing support to the Academic Development Consultants. Duties & Responsibilities: Lecturing: Lecture and facilitate Student Support workshops and subject-specific tutorials as required. Teaching and Learning Support. Develop teaching & learning capacity and standards on campus by assisting the Academic Development Co-ordinator and contract lecturers. Ensure academic conventions are communicated and taught on campus and preparation, lecturing and marking in relevant discipline according to timetable. Work with the librarians on information literacy for students and lecturers. Under the direction of the Academic Development Consultants, coordinate and run lecturer forums and faculty meetings. Research and Development Team support. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications A minimum of a B.Ed. Honour's degree and the undergraduate qualification or postgraduate qualification in the Intermediate Phase must include a focus in Northern Sotho. The undergraduate qualification must include Northern Sotho as a major (up to third year level) Experience School Teaching experience in the Intermediate Phase (3 years) Lecturing experience 1 - 3 years (Ideal) Key Competencies (Academic): Knowledge and understanding of the South African higher education systems and regulatory framework. Knowledge and understanding of the Teaching and Learning theory and interventions. The ability to provide student support services. The ability to work with and learn more about digitalized academic platforms. The ability to cope with a frequently changing environment and to adapt to evolving situations. Ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work regulations. Deadline orientated and can work well under pressure. Ability to manage time effectively. Closing Date 31 July 2026
