Electrician for CoC Inspections - Immediate Start

Got your trade test and a steady hand on a DB board? This solar and backup power installer in Rosslyn needs you on the tools. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Rosslyn. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

• Quote small jobs for clients and explain the fault in plain language
• Read electrical layouts and mark out point positions before chasing walls
• Supervise and teach an electrical assistant or apprentice on site
• Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
• Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1

You'll need

• At least 3 years working as a qualified electrician after your trade test
• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
• Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
• Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter

• PLC and motor control experience from a factory setting
