Our client, a well-established automotive workshop in Bellville, Cape Town, is seeking a hands-on and reliable Assistant Mechanic / Repair Shop Assistant (RSA) to join their team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist qualified mechanics with daily workshop tasks Support in diagnosing vehicle faults and basic repairs Remove and refit vehicle components (brakes, clutches, gearboxes, etc.) Perform basic servicing (oil changes, filters, fluid checks) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop Handle tools and equipment responsibly Assist with vehicle inspections and road testing when required Ensure all work is carried out according to safety standards RequirementsPrevious experience working as an Assistant Mechanic / Workshop Assistant Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and workshop procedures Must have a valid drivers license Must NOT be red seal qualifiedAbility to work in a fast-paced workshop environment Good communication skills Reliable, punctual and willing to learn Physically fit and able to handle manual work Must reside in Bellville or surrounding areas (no relocation will be considered)
