Sagma Hospitality is looking for an organised, commercially driven Sales Manager to develop and manage its business across South Africa's luxury hospitality market.Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg, you will be our sole local representative in South Africa, reporting directly to the Managing Director in Dubai.
You will take ownership of the commercial relationship from prospecting and winning new accounts through to order fulfilment, payment collection and ongoing client service.This is a hands-on role requiring both strong business development skills and meticulous operational follow-up.
You will work directly with five-star hotels, luxury lodges and hospitality groups, while coordinating closely with the Dubai team and our local third-party warehouse and logistics partners.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business across South Africa, building a qualified pipeline and converting opportunities into long-term accounts.Grow existing client relationships through regular visits, product presentations and proactive follow-up.Build relationships with hotel owners, general managers, procurement teams, executive housekeepers and spa managers.Prepare proposals and quotations, negotiate within agreed commercial guidelines and close sales.Manage orders from confirmation through to delivery, ensuring accurate product references, quantities, pricing and timelines.Coordinate accurate invoicing, monitor outstanding balances and follow up on payments with clients and the Dubai team.Liaise with the third-party warehouse and logistics providers to ensure accurate order preparation, timely dispatch and successful delivery.Monitor stock availability and client consumption, anticipate replenishment needs and flag potential shortages early.Resolve delivery issues, discrepancies and client complaints, taking ownership until each matter is closed.Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular reporting on sales, pipeline, forecasts, collections and service issues.Qualifications and ExperienceAt least 3 years of relevant B2B sales experience in South Africa, including direct sales to hotels, luxury lodges or hospitality groups.An established network of decision-makers within South Africa's luxury hospitality sector.A proven track record of winning new accounts and growing existing business.Strong negotiation, account management and client relationship skills.Highly organised, meticulous and detail-oriented, with consistent follow-up on quotations, orders, deliveries and payments.Able to work independently as the sole local representative and remain closely aligned with management in Dubai.Willing to manage day-to-day sales administration and operational coordination personally.Confident using Excel and maintaining accurate client records, sales forecasts and reports.Excellent spoken and written English, with a professional approach suited to luxury hospitality clients.Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg and available to travel within South Africa.Experience in hotel amenities, luxury beauty, fragrances, hotel supplies or premium distribution would be an advantage.
