Executive Housekeeper

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in five-star standards and can manage a team, a budget, and the finer details of guest room presentation all at once. The lodge operates to World Class Hospitality and Service Standards, so meticulous attention to detail is essential.

Core Criteria:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a 5-star hospitality operation
• Some form of managerial training
• Valid South African driver's license essential
• Strong communication skills with both guests and staff
• Good organisational ability
• Professional, courteous, and hospitable manner with guests
• Able to cope well under pressure while meeting guest needs
• Honest, proactive, and driven, with genuine career ambition

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Manage the housekeeping team and laundry team
• Oversee all housekeeping related stock orders
• Conduct monthly stock takes
• Carry out regular room checks to maintain presentation standards
• Manage departmental budgets
• Oversee housekeeping equipment
• Support staff skill development and training
• Uphold service standards that consistently exceed guest expectations
